A WORKSHOP in Zadar, Croatia: Improvisational voice, music and text

Modeled after workshops already held in Brazil and Kazakhstan, Vesna Mačković is coming to Zadar to hold a workshop on improvizing with voice, music and text, for the first time in Croatia. Vesna Mačković has been rewarded with International audio fiction award in the cathegory of student jury of Sarah Lawrence college, for her radiophonic work “Krleža, stand in line!”.
During a three-day period, in evening hours, from May 28th to May 30th,
at The Concert Hall of Bersa Brothers, with registration fees as a part of the initiative “Art Available to Everyone”, we will be exploring expression through sound and voice, with and without textual templates.

Attendants
The workshop is intended for sound and text enthusiasts, as well as for actors and musicians, but experience is not a prerequisite.
Approach: individual and group
Through games and breathing, voice and text improvisation exercises, Vesna will practice the production of individial and group content with the attendants. In a possible combination with musical instruments, the final product will be improvised content of multiple layers, ready for a short public performance.
The autor will work with the attendants partly without electronics (a capella) and partly while mixing sound live on her 16-channel ipad, creating audio effects as well as continuous multichannel sound layers.
The possibility of public performance
For the interested attendants, there is a possibility of public performance in front of a chosen audience.

NOTE: It is not nesessary to be present on all three workshops.
REGISTRATION FEES are a part of the “Art Available to Everyone” initiative; thus, at the beginning of the workshop, the attendants will be provided with forms with an empty price field which they will fill in on their own at the end of the workshop, according to their living standard and satisfaction with the received content.
